Wow, what an interesting coin! VF details, absolutely choice original surfaces and color with bluish overtones. B-25d variety, a cool late die state with a multitude of die cracks to ponder. Just about everything you could wish for in a circulated Bust Dollar, but alas PCGS did not grade it due to a naturally occurring planchet defect at the rim. This is how the coin was made, and doesn't bother me nearly as much as post-mint damage such as scratches, dents, holes, rim bumps, etc. Yes, it's still a distraction, but as with the late die state, it kind of adds a certain charm to the coin, and visually alludes to the problems faced by the early U.S. mint.
