Here's a coin that is dear to my heart, but like they say, you can't keep things forever. . . This is my discovery specimen of the seldom seen Snow-6 Doubled Die Reverse which I found back in 2005, and which remains quite rare today. Fairly extensive doubling shows throughout the reverse; note the extra lines in shield. This is the plate coin in Rick Snow's masterful work, The Flying Eagle and Indian Cent Attribution Guide. Also listed as FS-802 in the Cherrypicker's book. Rather harshly graded XF cleaned (?) by PCGS; any cleaning is virtually undetectable, and more often than not, this coin would get straight graded. Regardless, this is a nice looking circulated coin, and one with a bit of a story with yours truly as the leading character. Can you hear my horn tooting?
