Numismatic Classics - Layaway Terms

We are always pleased to offer a free 90 day, no interest layaway for all of our items (or multiple items) that total at least $250.00 or more. All we require is a minimum 25% deposit which must be paid within ten days or the transaction may be cancelled. After that, we will invoice you for the remaining balance in three 25% installments every 30 days for the ninety day duration.

To initiate a layaway, place the item in your cart, proceed to check out, and then contact us to let us know that you will be putting the item on layaway. Once we confirm your layaway please send your 25% deposit via personal check, money order, or cashier's check to the address that appears at the bottom of this page. You can send your payments during the ninety day duration using these methods of payment as well. All personal checks must clear prior to shipment of item. Also, you are free to send a larger down payment, or send additional payments at any time, and we will keep track of and adjust the remaining balance for you. You could also pay it off earlier than the ninety days; the sooner you pay, the sooner you get the coin!

However, if you fail to complete the transaction, you will forfeit your 25% deposit. We are flexible and easy to work with (within reason); don't worry, we won't cancel the transaction if it turns out to be 91 days! Just let us know and we are happy to work with you.

Beyond that, for layaways only, after the transaction has been completed and you receive the coin and find that you are not happy, UNCERTIFIED coins CAN be returned, but there will be a 25% restocking fee. This is because we have tied up the coin for over three months for you, making it unavailable to other buyers online, through our traditional mail order service, and at the many coin shows we do. CERTIFIED coins put on layaway CANNOT be returned, as you should already know what you are getting.
